Joy Howard is a freelance food stylist, writer, and recipe developer. She writes a regular column about kids and cooking for EatingWell and has also a worked on projects for Parents, Rizzoli, Storey Publishing, and SharkNinja, among other brands. From 2009 to 2015 she was the food editor at FamilyFun magazine where she developed original recipe content, styled images for print and video, managed an on-site test kitchen, and occasionally served as on-air radio and television talent. Prior to joining the staff at FamilyFun, she worked as a journalist penning stories about politics and culture.

Joy loves the process of creating unique and compelling stories, and helping her clients bring their brand or project to life through inspired recipes and imagery. Her favorite projects are those where she has the opportunity to collaborate on both.
